WM: Create Community

Crochet/Knitting group-

Whether you knit, crochet, cross-stitch or do embroidery, you are welcome to join the “Stitch Sisters”. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month for an informal time of yarn work and fellowship. For more information contact Gwen Wagner.

Health and Wellness Group-

Do you enjoy moving and healthy eating? Join other sisters in the shared quest of a healthy lifestyle. We’ve planned hikes, nature walks, and we’ll compare notes on menus. This is NOT a diet group, but rather a place to share healthy, tasty recipes; connect with exercise, running or walking buddies; and otherwise develop accountability partners when it comes to health issues. All fitness levels are welcome. Contact Tara Russell  for the Health and Wellness Group schedule.

The Kitchen Club-
Release your inner foodie! We’ll tackle cooking techniques and recipes you’ve wanted to try. Let’s explore the world of cooking and baking together and see where it leads. Open to everyone from beginners to master chefs!

Group leaders, Amy Heitner and Brooke Davis.

“Sew-cial” Sisters-
The “Sew-cial” Sisters is a group of women interested in sewing and getting together for fellowship around the sewing machine. Sew-cial Sisters will learn how to use the sewing machine (or maybe the serger, too), select fabric (with help), find a pattern, and sew away! Sisters will create something special: a countertop basket, an apron, a simple cosmetic bag, a scarf, or a simple tote. The group will decide its own schedule and its own projects. Bring your creativity! Contact Carolan Wishall for more information.

Friend2Friend-
The purpose of the Friend2Friend ministry is to a) allow women to meet other women in the church in a more relaxed, friendly, and intimate environment; b) develop new friendships; and c) foster deeper fellowship among the sisters of the church. We do this through shared interests, prayer, study, and hobbies. Women interested in meeting other women are pared with other women in a 1:1 environment for a season of time.
Guidelines for the Friend2Friend ministry.
💗 Commit to meeting faithfully for at least two months. (More time may be needed for a study or a time of prayer. Each friendship may decide to continue meeting for a longer period of time, but both friends should commit to a minimum of two months.)
💗 Commit to actual meetups; Zoom and Teams may substitute for a couple of get-togethers, but the intent of Friend2Friend is fellowship between sisters in Christ.
💗 Friends who meet for a 1:1 study in the Friend2Friend ministry should use one of the two approved books.
💗 Please be mindful of confidentiality. Personal confidences shared in prayer or a study (or coffee shop meetups) should remain between friends.
💗 Please remember: Not all friendships are deep, but fellowship within the body is assured when we meet to honor and worship our God and Father.
💗 Pray regularly for your friend—regardless of the reason you are getting together.
