Pastor’s Corner June 2007

The following was published in our monthly newsletter, the Redeemer Report.

Attention Redeemer family and friends – It’s Transition time!

The next three months will be among the most exciting our church has ever experienced. I would like to ask each of you to be preparing, praying for and participating in the various adjustments and changes we are making as a church.

Updated Websites: We have updated our websites for church and school. They are updated regularly and are user-friendly. Click on to our website: www.redeemer-pca.org today!

Choir Expansion: I would like to see our choir grow by 5-10 members in preparation for worshiping in the new sanctuary. Simply put, we need more voices to make our best offering to the Lord. Choir practice is every other Sunday afternoon from 4-6pm. See choir director Jeanne Smith to join.

Welcome Team: We have begun to develop a more intentional welcome ministry. Redeemer has always been a welcoming community; however, we must be more intentional and mindful as the Lord brings newcomers to us. Stay tuned and alert for ways every member can participate in this vital ministry effort.

Sunday Evening Summer Cookouts: With Home Fellowship Groups on hiatus for the summer, we enjoy these weekly times of fellowship all the more. Our Sunday evening attendance has gradually grown over the past couple of years, but I would love to see more of you end the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s House, with the Lord’s people. Come out and bring a dish to share each Sunday evening.

New Bulletin Format (bearing our new logo): Beginning in July, our Sunday morning bulletin will be bigger and better. Same liturgy, just more accessible (details and information). The sermon outline will be part of the bulletin instead of an insert. I think you will like it.

6. School Offices, Classroom, and Computer Lab: Beginning in mid-July, we will use money donated to Westminster to relocate the administrative offices to the current multipurpose room. This area will also have a new classroom and beautiful computer lab. Please be patient as we worship in the gymnasium for 2-3 weeks in late July, just before moving to the new sanctuary.

New Sanctuary Completion! The current date for completion of the sanctuary is August 2nd (pray this date holds). Our first worship service is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, August 5th! We will go to one service when we begin meeting in the gym at the end of July. Stay tuned for definite service times. Simply put, the new sanctuary is going to blow you away.

Dedication Weekend: Please, EVERYONE, mark your calendars for October 6-7 and plan to be present for our official Saturday night new sanctuary dedication dinner and celebration. Sunday morning, October 7, we’ll have our founding Pastor, Mike Milton opening the Word for us. Don’t miss this once-in-a-church-lifetime event.

I am excited. Are you excited? Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

In the Lamb,
Pastor Tony Felich
