Pastor’s Corner August 2011

The following was published in our monthly newsletter, the Redeemer Report.

It’s hard to imagine summer ending after more than three weeks of 100-degree weather, but Fall will soon be upon us.

In the life of Redeemer, the Fall begins a new year of ministry. A new year of school, youth group, bible studies, men’s ministry, home fellowship groups, etc. One of the most vibrant ministries at Redeemer is Sunday School. We have been blessed with gifted, willing, wonderful teachers for ministry to all ages.

I strongly encourage you and your family to make Sunday School participation a priority. Now is a good time to plan on being part of a class. We have classes for all ages of children beginning at age 2. We also have a diverse adult sunday school class line up. Here are your five choices beginning the first Sunday in September-

Instructing a Child’s Heart (a class on parenting) taught by Pastor Nathan Currey
Exodus (a bible study) taught by Elder Ben Vos
The Life and Works of Francis Schaeffer (Christian history and philosophy) taught by Dan Guinn and Jason Schaitel
“The Puritan Hope” by Ian Murray (a book study) taught by Elder Galen Mussman
Meet the Pastor (Six-week introduction to the ministry of Redeemer) taught by Pastor Tony Felich

The fall quarter runs from September 4 to November 27. Make your plans now to join one of these great classes. If you’re wondering what the classes will be about, feel free to contact the teacher listed. When you think about it, adding an extra 45 minutes to your Sunday morning schedule is pretty easy and it will yield great reward.

Sunday School is one of the several ways Redeemer uses to equip and edify the saints. I look forward to seeing you there!

In the Lamb,
Pastor Tony Felich
