Pastor’s Corner February 2013

The following was published in our monthly newsletter, the Redeemer Report.

Redeemer is sending two Short-Term mission teams this Summer!

I am excited to report the Redeemer Missions Committee is sponsoring two exciting short-term mission trips for this Summer. The Omaha Nation Reservation (Walthill, NE) We will send one team to serve the people of the Omaha Nation Reservation in NE Nebraska. I have the privilege of being the team leader for this trip. The dates for this trip are June 15-22.  The team will be limited to 20 people. This is a family friendly trip, but we are limiting the age to those entering 7th grade and above.  There may be some exceptions if parents will be traveling with slightly younger children.  Team members will be responsible for providing $300 toward their cost. We’ll raise the rest of the money through three special church fundraisers. Juarez, Mexico

We will send another team to Juarez, Mexico to help with the church planting and strengthening ministry we have been part of for years.  Pastor Nathan Currey will be leading this trip. The dates for this trip are July 13-20.  The team will be kept to a maximum of 18 people and limited to those entering 7th grade and above. Team members will be responsible for providing $500 toward their cost. We’ll raise the rest of the money through three special church fundraisers (joining with Omaha Nation Team). Personally, I’m fired up about Redeemer’s return to short-term trips!!

I hope many of you will want to go.  I hope everyone gets excited and behind the effort to send these two teams. Stay tuned for special fundraiser dates the whole church can come and support. Applications are available in the ministry racks next to to the book tables.  If you have any questions about the the trips, contact either of the team leaders or our Church Administrator, Jon Meyers. Please prayerfully consider how you will participate. Will you go?  Will you help send our teams?  Stay tuned for three special fundraisers that will serve to raise money, awareness, and encourage our teams. I

In the Lamb,
Pastor Tony Felich
