Sunday Morning Worship 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM
Worship: August 16th, 2020
Editors Note: Due to the current Coronavirus situation, the Session decided, as part of a continued ramp up to our familiar worship format, that there were two services: one outdoor and one indoor (please refer to the guidelines we will be following) for August 16th.
On Sunday, August 16th, Pastor Nathan continued the sermon series: Proverbs: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times. Worship Services were at 8:00 AM (outdoor), 10:00 AM (indoor), and accessible on line.

Text: Proverbs 26:4-12
[4] Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. [5] Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes. [6] Whoever sends a message by the hand of a fool cuts off his own feet and drinks violence. [7] Like a lame man’s legs, which hang useless, is a proverb in the mouth of fools. [8] Like one who binds the stone in the sling is one who gives honor to a fool. [9] Like a thorn that goes up into the hand of a drunkard is a proverb in the mouth of fools. [10] Like an archer who wounds everyone is one who hires a passing fool or drunkard. [11] Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly. [12] Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Additional Readings: The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of Heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into Heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the Communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
