Matthew 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. [10] Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. [11] Give us this day our daily bread, [12] and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

We are to pray that God would either keep us from being tempted to sin, or support and deliver us when we are tempted.
•       A petition of humble admission
•       A petition for two circumstances:
         1.  When we are not in the midst of a particular temptation-
                  “Lead us not into temptation”
         2.  When we are in the thick of a temptation-
                  “Deliver us from evil”
