6 Lessons from the Oracles Against the Nations, Part 1

Speaker:
Passage: Isaiah 13:11-13, Isaiah 14:1
Service Type:

God sent warnings (called oracles) to nations surrounding Israel so they would be without excuse when judgment fell and to warn Judah against making alliances with them.

While these oracles are specific to particular nations in a certain time period, they contain valuable lessons about God’s character and what he desires of His people.
I. God opposes pride and arrogance
II. God judges, but always maintains a remnant (His people)
III. Compassion over Oppression
