The Lamb of God
On Palm Sunday, the Lamb presented Himself as a perfect offering for the forgiveness of our sins.
I. The Lamb without Blemish
Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats…
II. The Lamb came for us
John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
III. The Lamb gave Himself for us
1 Corinthians 5:7b For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
IV. The Lamb preserves us
Revelation 13:8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it (the Beast), everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
V. The Lamb is coming
Revelation 5:6b-7 I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne.
VI. The Lamb reigns
Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”
