He is Sovereign Over Spiritual Sight (Luke 24:1-49)

God must grant us spiritual sight so we can embrace the importance of Christ and His resurrection.
I. We are spiritually blind apart from God’s gracious gift of sight. -Luke 24:16
II. The Bible is spiritually discerned, so we need God’s illumination to understand. – Luke 24:27,45
III. God reveals Christ to us through the Word (Bible) and Sacraments. – Luke 24:30-31
IV. We need God’s continued nourishing grace to maintain our spiritual sight. – Luke 24:40-41
