Sinful rebellion against God brings judgment and utter darkness.

II. Warning against sinful rebellion against God (8-12, 18-23)
III. Universal, timeless principle revealed: Rebellious man will be humbled, God will be exalted (13-17, 24-30)
There is only one Light that can pierce the darkness brought about by sinful rebellion against God.
