Faith and patience over the long haul are what produce confidence in your walk with the Lord.

* Your reaction to verses 1-8 reveals much! (9)
– Could you care less?
– Are you conforted?
– Convicted and changing?
– Convicted and discouraged?

* God knows and cares bout your motive for service! (10)
– Are you serving yourself?
– Are you serving God?

* Diligence in your walk with the Lord builds assurance of salvation (11)
– Earnest service VS half-hearted & half-baked service

*”Slow and Steady” has always marked the Christian Life (12)
– Sluggish VS Responsive
– Imitate certain examples who have gone before us

Hebrews 6:9-12

Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation. 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (ESV)
