LS Worship: 1.21.18

On Sunday, January 21st, Pastor Tony continued his sermon series in Luke. Through this passage we see that the truest profession of our faith is the practice of our faith.

6:00 pm Worship

Preaching: Rev. Tony Felich (Sermon Audio Page| Other Sermons)

Text: Luke 6:43-45

[43] “For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, [44] for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. [45] The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Worship Hymns:

Hymn of Adoration: # 57 Hallelujah, Praise Jehovah, O My Soul
Hymn or Spiritual Songs: # 164 O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
Hymn of Response: # 644 May the Mind of Christ My Savior
Dismissal Hymn: 103 Holy God, We Praise Your Name (4)

Additional Reading: The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of Heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into Heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the Communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
