1 Samuel calls us to finish well the race set before us.  Characters like Eli and Hannah, Samuel, Saul and David teach us the actions and the heart of leadership. We see good examples and bad ones, all while God remains faithful to His covenant people.  The kings of 1 Samuel with all their flaws point to our desperate need for the only True King, Jesus.
